What is PozaBankiem?
PozaBankiem is a name that says exactly what we do: we help businesses get financing outside the bank. That doesn't mean we do anything illegal or risky. Quite the opposite.
Formally we are KB Group Spółka z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością, an independent financial broker based in Warsaw. We connect businesses, developers and farmers with private investors and private debt funds that can finance projects banks have turned down.
A bank assesses a client through spreadsheets: BIK (the Polish credit bureau) history, employment, turnover over the last 3 years. We look at what makes economic sense. Is the collateral enough? Does the project have a future? Does the client have a real repayment plan? If so, we talk, even if the bank said no.
What does KB Group mean?
KB is short for the founders' surnames: Kopciński and Bolechowicz. Bartosz Kopciński and Filip Bolechowicz built the company together, so each of them is in the name.
"Group" reflects the vision: it's not just about one financial service, but complete support for businesses that need alternative financing. Factoring, loans secured by real estate, leasing, financing for developers, financing for farmers.
How did the company start?
The story of PozaBankiem starts with Bartosz Kopciński. For several years he worked in private debt, meaning private debt financing for businesses and real estate. He saw up close how many entrepreneurs hit a dead end: the bank says no, and businesses don't realize other options exist.
The more of these clients he served, the clearer it became that this wasn't an isolated problem. Poland has several hundred thousand active small and medium-sized businesses. A good number of them hit a wall at the bank at some point: too short a track record, too complicated an industry, irregular income, real estate as the only available collateral. Banks don't like exceptions.
Bartosz decided to build something bigger than a one-person advisory practice. He needed someone with operational and organizational experience he could trust. He chose Filip Bolechowicz. They had worked together on several projects before, and Bartosz knew how Filip worked.
That's how KB Group and the PozaBankiem brand came to be.

Bartosz Kopciński
Bartosz is the financing person. Over the years he built up knowledge and a network of contacts in private debt, the market for private loans to businesses and investments. It's a field that few people in Poland know well, and Bartosz is one of the recognized practitioners in this sector.
He sees where the problem is, knows who can help, and knows how to structure financing that makes sense for both sides. He's the one behind PozaBankiem's relationships with investors and funds.
Filip Bolechowicz
Filip is responsible for making sure the company runs smoothly from the inside. The operational and organizational experience he brought to the company is the foundation of PozaBankiem's day-to-day operations: client service, processes, communication, product development.
He had worked with Bartosz on other projects before. When the idea came up to build something together on a larger scale, he took it.
What does PozaBankiem do?
We offer five main types of financing:
- Loans secured by real estate: for businesses that own property and need cash faster than a bank can move, or where the bank refused because of BIK history or a lack of documented income
- Factoring: for businesses that issue invoices with deferred payment terms and don't want to wait 30, 60 or 90 days for money from their clients
- Alternative leasing: for businesses that need machinery, vehicles or equipment, and standard bank leasing isn't available to them
- Financing for developers: bridge loans, land purchase financing, financing for SPV projects in situations where the bank asks for too much or moves too slowly
- Financing for farmers: loans secured by farmland, financing for agricultural machinery, bridge loans before EU grants are paid out (PROW, KPO)
In all these cases we connect the client with the right source of financing, negotiate terms, and make sure the whole process runs smoothly.

These aren't numbers for show. A billion zloty in financing disbursed is a real achievement for a company our size. Every zloty represents a business that got a chance to grow instead of a rejection.
Mission and future plans
PozaBankiem's mission is simple: help businesses grow and get out of financial trouble when the bank says no.
We believe the SME sector in Poland, and more broadly in Europe, can grow faster if access to financing doesn't depend solely on decisions made by bank spreadsheets. Many good businesses don't get financing not because they're bad, but because they're non-standard.
Our long-term vision goes further: we want to move from being a broker to building our own private debt fund with PLN 1 billion in capital. A fund that finances projects directly instead of seeking outside investors case by case. It's an ambitious goal for the next few years, but every zloty disbursed today is a step in that direction.
We operate out of Warsaw and serve clients across all of Poland. Eventually we want to expand into select European markets.

No. PozaBankiem (KB Group) is not a bank or a credit institution within the meaning of Polish banking law. We are an independent financial broker. We do not take deposits and do not issue loans from our own balance sheet in a bank-style model. We connect clients with private investors and funds that provide the financing. That's why we can move faster and more flexibly than a bank.
KB Group's registered office is in Warsaw (Plac Stanisława Małachowskiego 2). We serve clients across all of Poland. Meetings take place in person in Warsaw or remotely. Many matters can be handled entirely online and by phone.
The name says exactly what we do: financing outside the bank. KB Group is the company's formal name, PozaBankiem is the brand we operate under. KB comes from the founders' surnames: Kopciński and Bolechowicz.
We work exclusively with businesses: small and medium-sized enterprises (sole proprietorships, companies), developers and farmers. We do not lend to private individuals or offer consumer mortgages. We also don't work with businesses that want to hide assets, have enforcement proceedings with no repayment plan, or whose project has no economic justification.
